Autotalks partners with Qualcomm

Autotalks, a leading provider of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication technology, is partnering with Qualcomm to integrate its cutting-edge ICs into the Snapdragon Digital Chassis product portfolio. The move is part of Qualcomm’s ongoing efforts to invest in V2X research and development, and to provide a standalone V2X safety architecture that can enhance road user safety and create more intelligent transportation systems.

The partnership will allow Qualcomm to leverage Autotalks’ expertise in V2X communication technology and to integrate its designs into its Snapdragon Digital Chassis product portfolio, which is a comprehensive automotive platform for vehicle connectivity and security. With the addition of Autotalks’ technology, the Snapdragon Digital Chassis will be able to provide enhanced V2X capabilities, allowing for more efficient communication between vehicles and infrastructure.

“We have been investing in V2X research, development, and deployment since 2017, and believe that as the automotive market matures, a standalone V2X safety architecture will be needed for enhanced road user safety, as well as smart transportation systems,” says Nakul Duggal, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm.

V2X communication technology is crucial for the development of smart transportation systems, and has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about driving. With V2X technology, vehicles can communicate with one another, as well as with infrastructure like traffic lights, to provide real-time information about road conditions, traffic patterns, and more.

Autotalks’ ICs are designed to deliver reliable and secure V2X communication, even in challenging conditions like poor visibility or interference from other signals.
